This Tallfin Batfish, Platax teira, was hovering in mid-water, but initially moved away if I approached closer than a meter. I waited patiently, and the fish eventually relaxed, allowing me close enough to take this tightly framed portrait at the zoom?s 180mm position. Thailand, Gulf of Thailand, Sail Rock.
